1月18日起乘客将可以在空中使用手机

东航、海航分别宣布，1月18日起乘客将可以在空中使用手机，但需设置为“飞行模式”。1月17日晚21时36分，由海口至北京的航班HU7781顺利起飞。这是中国民航史上首班开放PED(便携式电子设备)使用的航班。海南航空通过广播宣布，“从现在开始，在飞行过程中，不必再关闭手机”。而东航方面，在18日零点开放PED使用。跨过零点后，MU587航班上，旅客通过机上Wi-Fi与家人视频通话。 手机“解禁”后，旅客将可使用自己手机上的娱乐内容，在提供机上WiFi的航班上，旅客还能够发微信，或是获取公共WiFi上的共享内容。除此之外，“空中支付”也将变为可能，机上购买纪念品、免税品等附加服务也会更便捷。
