        Applying for L visa

        Eligible Applican:

        Foreign nationals entering for travelling or visiting family members

        Office:

        Exit-entry Administration Division of Wuxi Municipal Public Security Bureau ( 56# Chong Ning Road, on Second Floor, Exit-entry Reception Hall)

        Applicable Regulations:

        The Law of the People’s Republic of China on Control of the Entry[ and ]Exit of Aliens: Article 10; Rules Governing the Implementation: Article4, Article5, Article6, Article20

        Procedure:

        Applicants handing in the application—》waiting for approval---》paying the fee[ and ]then receiving the certificates

        Required Documents:
        1. Visa[ and ]Residence Permit Application Form
        2. Two-inch color photograph
        3. Original[ and ]photocopy of the passport
        4. Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation
        5. Other documents in accordance with the classification of applicants ( Documents provided by foreign agencies should be verified by Chinese embassy or consulate[ and ]be translated[ into ]Chinese.)
        1) People visiting family members: identity certificate of family members; certifying documents of family relationship; evidence for family members’ residence for more than 6 six months in Wuxi
        2) People seeking shelter with family members: the household registration of one’s family members if they are Chinese citizens or the Alien Permanent Residence Permits if they are aliens; notarized kinship certificates[ and ]certificates of having no direct family members in the native country; notarized evidence of one’s financial sources or affidavit of financial support of such direct family members; notarized certificates of one’s house ownership or the lease or that of your relatives
        3) People purchasing house property: house property certificate; evidence of the source of finance (in the forms of drafts, bank deposit certificates, cash cards, etc) or affidavit of financial support or evidence of financial self-guarantee notarized by Domestic notary offices
        4) People supporting parents: identity certificate of the parents; notarized certificate for family relationship[ and ]that the parents have no other children in China; notarized evidence of one’s source of finance[ and ]the house ownership or the lease
        5) Children in the care of relatives: birth certificate; identity certificate of the parents; parents’ letter of entrusting the child to the guardian; identity certificate of the guardian; notarized guarantee letter written by the guardian
        6) People visiting relatives: identity certificate of the relatives
        7) People coming for travelling, seeing doctors or dealing with private affairs: official letters of the travel agency or evidence for financial source; medical treatment record; other relevant documents.

        Working Limit: Five working days
