Open economy working conference in the whole city held

On April 22, the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee and the Wuxi Municipal People's Government held the open economy working conference in the whole city to earnestly implement the decision-making and deployment made by the central government, the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government on propelling structural reform of supply side and propelling overall opening, review and summarize work, analyze situation in a deepgoing way and research and deploy target tasks and work measures of open economy development at present and in future period. Li Xiaomin, a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, made a speech. Wang Quan, Mayor of Wuxi, made work deployment. Wang Jinjian, Deputy Mayor of Wuxi, presided over the meeting.

Li Xiaomin fully affirmed the efficiency achieved by open economy work in Wuxi in his speech and actively evaluated exploration and effort made by cadres at all levels in Wuxi for developing open economy. He said that to propel development of open economy, Wuxi must be determined to walk a way of transformation development and pay more attention to quality and benefit, thus realizing high-level opening to the outside world.

Wang Quan pointed out in his speech that all departments at all levels in the whole city shall profoundly know new circumstances and new tasks of the new round of opening to the outside world, always stand on the height of strategy and overall situation, further enhance sense of responsibility and sense of urgency of accelerating developing open economy, persist in taking innovation-driven, reform promotion and opening mobilization as power, initiatively integrate in national strategy, deeply propel structural reform of supply side, accelerate expanding and developing new spaces internally and externally, constantly enhance development quality and benefit and actively construct new advantages of open economy.
