Wuxi Honors

Wuxi was named a "National Civilized City" at the National Construction of Spiritual Civilization Meeting held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, on February 28, 2015.

Honors of Wuxi

It is the first time that Wuxi won the honor after 19 years of efforts in civilized city construction.

A total of 34 cities (districts) received the honor, including 22 prefecture-level cities.

Meanwhile, Wuxi was also named an advanced city for work in moral education for minors. What's more, Jiangyin and Yixing were nominated for "National Civilized City".

Wang Quan, Wuxi mayor, received the medal in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, on February 28, 2015.

The national civilized city is a top honor that reflects the overall development level of a city. It is also the most valuable of all city honors.
