Learn Chinese poem with Wuxi Mandarin
学习中国诗歌
Chinese Poem is a special type of art in Chinese culture. It can be traced back to the ancient time. It was created according to people’s life and daily working. The early poems usually has different rhythms. So today we’ll learn the Chinese poem with our Mandarin Edu. students.
First we have to know the development of Chinese poems. About 6 century B.C, a collection of 305 poems was formed, called “Shi Jing”. This book is considered as the beginning of Chinese poem history. Then created by Qu Yuan in the time of the Warring States, about in 300 B.C, the poem “Li Sao” is the earliest long lyric poem in China. For the Dragon Boat Festival is coming and this festival is just to memorize Qu yuan, Our Mandarin students began to talk about the delicious Zongzi. Eve showed the photo of Zongzi. One of the girls said, “ I don’t like the taste.” Then our little couple Pauling and Cyrille said,” we have tried this, we like it very much! It’s delicious.” It seemed they’re very interested with Zongzi..
Go on came the poem our Mandarin students had to learn. That’s a poem of Tang Dynasty. The title is “Chun Xiao”. This is the poem talking about how fast time flies. Eve first read the whole poem and then explain the meaning of the words. Then the curious Mandarin students followed sentence by sentence. A poem only 20 characters, but contains a lot of meaning, that’s amazing. All the students thought Chinese poem is beautiful.
