      Our Mandarin students visiting Chong an si 游无锡崇安寺



      Last Saturday, Our Mandarin Students and Chinese teachers went to the downtown of wuxi. Though it was a little rainy, we had a great time outside.



      The public garden is located in the center of wuxi, between two lively shopping malls. Everyday a lot of people come to here to enjoy their leisure time. We arrived a little bit later that day. Some people were singing different local operas, such as wuxi opera, suzhou opera and beijing opera. An old man was teaching playing “er hu”, which is one of Chinese traditional instruments. There was also a singing show, the operator even invited us to chorus.



      Then we visited the unground shopping mall. Besides all kinds of goods, we saw a few statues there. For example, there was a statue of  Wang xi zhi, who is a famous calligrapher lived in jin dynasty. It is said every time he finished writing, he washed brush in a pond, which made the whole water black.
