对外汉语必读之韵母的结构
在中文里，韵母的结构可分为韵头、韵腹、韵尾。
1.韵头只有i、u、ü三个，都是最高元音，出现在韵腹前面。它的发音轻而短只表示韵母发音的起点。韵头介于声母和韵腹之间，所以曾叫介音或介母。如jia”（家)中的“i”，“guai”（乖）中的“u”、“xue”（学）中的“ü”。
2.韵腹是韵母的主干，是韵母中不可缺少的，比起韵头、韵尾来,声音最清晰响亮，所以也叫“主要元音’。所有的元音都能出现在韵腹位置上。
3.韵尾只限于韵腹后头的n、nq、i、u四个.
分析韵母的结构，记住要分析其实际发音，比如“wu”（五）的实际读音是[u],是韵腹，而“w”只不过是隔音用的头母，不要认为是韵头。又如“jiu(旧)”其韵腹是[o],分析韵母结构时要把拼写时省去的符号补出来。
韵腹加韵尾或光是韵腹（无韵尾）都可叫韵身或韵。在对外汉语教授的过程中要注意韵文押韵的“韵”主要指韵头后面的部分。
