Shandong Normal University

Shandong Normal University is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province. It is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning established in Shandong Province since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Shandong Normal University  has two campuses, covering an area of 600 acres. Currently there are more than 35,000 full-time Chinese students and more than 300 international students. Shandong Normal University  offers courses in 9 main academic disciplines, i.e. philosophy, economy, law, education, literature, history, natural sciences, engineering, and management. Qilu Culture Research Centre and Elementary Teaching Courses Research Centre at Shandong Normal University  are the only two key research centers of the humanities established at provincial universities by the Ministry of Education of China （MOE）. Shandong Normal University  publishes six worldwide academic periodicals. Among them is China Population Resources & Environment, which is the only academic journal focusing on sustainable development in China. Shandong Normal University  has established co-operative relationships with 60 universities from 15 countries and regions. Shandong Normal University  is one of the first universities approved by the Ministry of Education of China to recruit international students and to receive international Chinese government scholarship students （1983）, and to recruit Confucius Institute Scholarship students （2009）. And Shandong Normal University  is among the HSK exam centers approved by MOE. Since 1983, over 5,000 international students have graduated from the university.
