The introduction of women's day


International Working Women's Day (IWD) is the United Nations Women's rights and International peace Day or the United Nations Women's rights and International peace Day. It is on March 8 every year to celebrate the important contributions and great achievements made by women in the economic, political and social fields.

The focus of the celebration varies from region to region, from the general celebration of respect, appreciation and love for women to the celebration of women's achievements in the economic, political and social spheres. Since the festival began as a political event initiated by socialist feminists, it has been integrated into many cultures.

International women's day is celebrated in many countries around the world. On this day, women's achievements are recognized regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, language, culture, economic status and political stand. Since then, international women's day has become a global women's day with new meaning for women in both developed and developing countries.




The origin of women's day


In August 1910, the second international socialist women's congress was held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The meeting was attended by representatives of 17 countries. It also discussed the protection of women's and children's rights, the fight for an eight-hour work week and women's suffrage. Clara zetkin, a famous German socialist revolutionary and outstanding communist fighter who led the conference, proposed that March 8 of each year be the struggle day for women all over the world, which was unanimously supported by the participants. Since then, women's day has become a day for women to fight for their rights and liberation.




The significance of women's day


Women's day is an effort by women to fight for equal rights as men. Just like the declaration of independence in those years, this change is gradual. When I was a child, I often heard old people say that when China implemented the centimeter system, when men and women did the same thing, men could get 10 points while women could only get 7 points, which fully showed the inequality of women's rights. There is also the traditional idea that women before our ancestors had no talent and were virtuous, which restricted women's right to enjoy education freely. Gradually, women in the new era began to wake up, women's education rights were satisfied, more and more women were understood and respected, women's day has gone through a century, and has been recognized by the society.
